On March 11, CAAC held the Analysis Meeting on Operation Safety of March. At the meeting, the guiding principles of relevant instructions of the central government leaders on aviation safety was conveyed and studied and the situation of operation safety in February and Spring Festival Travel Rush was analyzed. CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin, emphasized in his speech that under the current complex situation in the development of civil aviation, it is necessary to prioritize stability while pursuing progress and promote the recovery and development of the industry in an effective manner. Deputy Administrators Dong Zhiyi, Cui Xiaofeng, Hu Zhenjiang, and Party Group Member Liu Fang attended the meeting and commented on the work in their respective fields.

Feng Zhenglin pointed out that in the first two months of this year, the safety situation was generally stable. Air transport, which is recovering steadily, has been operating securely for 237 consecutive months, with an accumulated 100 million hours of safe operation. The support for Spring Festival Travel Rush, Beijing Winter Olympics, NPC and CPPCC Sessions as well as other major events was completed successfully. All the tasks have been carried out steadily with a good start.

Feng Zhenglin stressed that this year’s government work report highlights stability, which fully embodies the requirements of “prioritizing stability while pursuing progress” outlined in the Central Economic Work Conference for economic development in 2022. The principle of “keeping the bottom line, stabilizing expectations, strengthening the foundation, tapping potentials, improving quality and efficiency, and securing new performance” adopted by the National Civil Aviation Work Conference is exactly the practice of “prioritizing stability while pursuing progress” in civil aviation. It is a comprehensive strategy for coordinating COVID-19 prevention and control, achieving recovery and development, and systematically responding to possible risks and challenges. Under the severe situation with mounting pressure, stability means progress and victory. It’s essential for the industry to maintain stability and achieve effective advances.
