CAAC Issues Circuit-breaker Orders for Five Inbound Flights25/03/2022

On March 15, CAAC issued circuit-breaker orders for five flights including Flight OZ323 (Seoul to Chengdu) by Asiana Airlines.

According to CAAC, six cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight OZ323 (Seoul to Chengdu) by Asiana Airlines which entered China on March 3. Considering Flight OZ323 is the award flight of Flight OZ303 (Seoul to Changchun) (Flight OZ323/4 has been suspended since March 14), starting from April 25, Flight OZ303 will be suspended for another 2 weeks. Eight cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight RS831 (Seoul to Yantai) by Air Seoul which entered China on March 3. Starting from April 4, Flight RS831 will be suspended for another 2 weeks. Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight QV815 (Vientiane to Kunming) by Lao Airlines which entered China on March 6. Starting from March 21, Flight QV815 will be suspended for another 2 weeks. Six cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight 9C8570 (Seoul to Shanghai) by Spring Airlines which entered China on March 7. Starting from April 4, Flight 9C8570 will be suspended for another 2 weeks. Twelve cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight CZ3056 (Yangon to Guangzhou) by China Southern Airlines which entered China on March 12. Starting from March 28, Flight CZ3056 will be suspended for 4 weeks. The quota for the above-mentioned flights shall not be transferred to other routes.

CAAC requires the five airlines to provide reassurance and other services such as ticket change and refund for passengers of the suspended flights.
