On March 17, CAAC issued circuit-breaker orders for five flights including Flight CZ6092 (Vientiane to Guangzhou) by China Southern Airlines.
According to CAAC, seven cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight CZ6092 (Vientiane to Guangzhou) by China Southern Airlines which entered China on March 4. Starting from March 21, Flight CZ6092 will be suspended for 2 weeks. Seven cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight CA124 (Seoul to Beijing) by Air China which entered China on March 4. Starting from March 28, Flight CA124 will be suspended for 2 weeks. Six cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight ZH9004 (Bangkok to Shenzhen) by Shenzhen Airlines which entered China on March 4. Starting from March 21, Flight ZH9004 will be suspended for 2 weeks. Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight CZ3070 (Ho Chi Minh to Guangzhou) by China Southern Airlines which entered China on March 6. Since April 11, Flight CZ3070 will be suspended for another 2 weeks. Ten cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight CA878 (Copenhagen to Beijing) by Air China which entered China on March 8. Starting from April 25, Flight CA878 will be suspended for another 4 weeks. The quota for the above-mentioned flights shall not be transferred to other routes.
CAAC requires the three airlines to provide reassurance and other services such as ticket change and refund for passengers of the suspended flights.
