According to the deployment about the comprehensive safety inspection and COVID-19 prevention and control, from March 31 to April 1, CAAC conducted video supervision on the safety inspections in East, Northeast, and Central-south China.

The remote supervision meetings studied the important instructions given by President Xi Jinping and other central leaders, and communicated the guiding principles of the national video and telephone conference on work safety. CAAC East, Northeast and Central-south Regional Administrations reported their progress on the comprehensive safety inspection. China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airport Group, East China Air Traffic Management Bureau, Longjiang Airlines, Heilongjiang Airport Group, Northeast Air Traffic Management Bureau, China Southern Airlines, Jiuyuan Airlines, Baiyun Airport, Central-south Air Traffic Management Bureau and South China Bluesky Aviation Oil Corporation reported their progress on self-inspection. During the comprehensive safety inspection, CAAC East Reginal Administration refined the “Six Inspections” based on the actual situation of its jurisdiction. The comprehensive inspection list consists of 25 specific items. The inspection list for special and key items covers 10 areas and 80 inspection points. Six supervision teams were established to carry out inspection on the ten regulatory bureaus and their affiliated entities within the jurisdiction. CAAC Northeast Regional Administration conscientiously implemented the requirements of the plan of “Inspection in Six Aspects”. They focused on the core risks affecting flight safety and refined the nine-pronged approach on key areas. Committed to the problem-oriented principle, they formulated the inspection lists and standards for different areas, and conducted a full-coverage inspection of the airlines, airports, air traffic management bureaus, as well as security and other key support departments within the jurisdiction. CAAC Central-south Regional Administration strengthened its awareness of responsibilities. Under the situation where a large number of people were dispatched to the frontline in Wuzhou, they managed to coordinate the safety inspections and daily work, refined the plan of “Inspection in Six Aspects”, formulated special inspection lists, and identified 23 specific inspection items. Under their leadership, the entire jurisdiction carried out synchronized large-scale inspections. They also carried out inspections in Guangdong, He’nan, Hubei, Hainan, Sanya, among other regions.
