Recently, CAAC revised the Regulations on Cargo Acceptance at Air Cargo Stations (hereinafter?referred?to?as the Regulations) to further regulate cargo acceptance management at air cargo stations and facilitate their operation in an orderly and efficient manner. The Regulations will come into effect on October 1, 2022.

The Regulations applies to airport cargo stations, carrier-owned cargo stations and third-party-owned cargo stations. It only applies to cargo stations when they serve as ground handling agents, not to post express enterprises and other posting and delivering enterprises for distribution. The Regulations makes clear relevant acceptance restrictions, including types of cargo prohibited from acceptance and documents to be submitted for restricted cargo. It describes basic requirements for personnel responsible for accepting cargo, including their qualification, duties and the staffing level.
