CAAC held the Meeting of the Leading Group for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on August 19 to put in place the instructions made by President Xi Jinping and the State Council on COVID-19 prevention and control and make further arrangements for preventing disease importation and guarding against domestic resurgence of COVID-19, emergency response in key areas, and safeguarding COVID-19 prevention and control and operation safety of civil aviation. Song Zhiyong stressed that we should continue to resume international flights in a prudent manner, firmly ensure the safe operation of air transport, actively take on our responsibilities and never slack in the pandemic prevention and control to effectively implement the critical principle of “guarding against the pandemic, stabilizing economy and promoting safe development” made by the CPC Central Committee.
