The China Civil UAS Development International Forum 2022 was held on August 25th in Changchun, with the theme of “Innovation and Practice Leads the Development of UAS”. Lyu Erxue, CAAC Deputy Administrator, addressed the forum. During the forum, Lyu Erxue exchanged opinions on the high-quality development of Jilin’s civil aviation with Wu Jingping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Jilin Province and met with a work group led by Wang Zilian, Mayor of Changchun City.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Yin Shijun, Chief Engineer of CAAC. Hosted by CAAC and co-organized by Changchun Municipal Government and China Air Transport Association (CATA), the forum served as a platform for high-level exchanges on UAS in and out of the civil aviation industry at home and abroad. Centering on safety and development, the forum focused on ways to establish and improve UAS regulations and standards, strengthen coordinated regulation on UAS, put forward policies that guide the sound development of the industry and so on. It also highlighted UAS-related policies, regulations and standards formulated by China and the innovation, application and development path of airworthiness, operation, personnel qualifications, air traffic service and technological application of UAS, boosting the safe growth of global UAS and its coordination with the traditional aviation industry.
