On March 23, the Second Civil Aviation Science and Education Innovation Achievement Exhibition was unveiled at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Cui Xiaofeng, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, announced the opening of the exhibition and paid a visit to the exhibition hall. He expressed his hope that industry-wide efforts shall be made to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, implement the strategy for invigorating China through science and education, the workforce development strategy and the innovation-driven development strategy, focus on improving civil aviation safety and building a smart civil aviation industry, and further press ahead with scientific and technological innovation and talent nurturing. All these efforts will lead to more abundant scientific and technological innovation achievements and high-quality human resources, which will provide solid support for the high-quality development of civil aviation and enable the industry to make due contribution to the building of China’s strength in transportation.

The exhibition has received strong support and proactive cooperation from various units across the civil aviation industry, from scientific research institutes, institutions of higher learning and high-tech enterprises in the industry, as well as from enterprises and institutions engaged in aviation manufacturing, technical equipment production, service support, and smart technology application. The exhibition, which covered an area of 17 000 square meters and drew nearly 100 exhibitors, was a larger one than the inaugural exhibition in 2018. The 3-day exhibition was open on a gratis basis to the public, attracting over 10 000 visitors on the first day.
