On March 30, the First Green Development Forum on Civil Aviation and Exhibition on Green Aviation Facilities and Equipment were held in Weihai City, Shandong Province. Themed “Low Carbon Transformation towards Innovative Development”, the Forum was hosted by China Air Transport Association (CATA) under the guidance of the CAAC. Han Jun, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, was present at the Forum and delivered a keynote speech. Fan Bo, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, and Wang Changshun, Chairman of CATA, both attended the Forum and gave speeches.

During the Forum, Mr. Han visited the Exhibition on Green Aviation Facilities and Equipment, and learned the green development achievements in aviation decarbonization equipment, sustainable aviation fuel, green airport material and equipment. Mr. Han also visited stands of Yutian and Cele counties of Xinjiang Autonomous Region, which were CAAC’s paired targets for poverty reduction assistance.

Concentrating on the national goal of carbon neutralization and carbon peak, the three-day Forum held several panels on topics such as national green development policies, green energy of aviation, application and promotion of new technologies for green aviation, innovative practices of green finance in civil aviation. During the Forum, the Exhibition on Green Aviation Facilities and Equipment was also held, attracting around 700 delegates and 50 exhibitors from public institutions, research institutes and well-known domestic and overseas enterprises, including regional administrations of CAAC, airlines, airports and Air Traffic Management Bureau.
