On May 30, the Seminar on Air Traffic Management Safety of Small and Medium-sized Airports was held in Beijing in which the experience on ATM safety projects was shared, problems discussed and shortcomings found, so as to make improvement. At the seminar, the instructions made by CAAC Administrator Song Zhiyong was disseminated. Lyu Erxue, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, participated in and addressed the seminar.
In view of the requirements and problems of the ATM safe development in small and medium-sized airports, and in light of the previous ATM system support experience and ideas for future development, the Air Traffic Management Bureau of CAAC drafted Opinions on Improving ATM Support Capacity of Small and Medium-sized Airports, and formulated 15 measures aiming at strengthening ATM safety support in small and medium-sized airports, in order to help such airports enhance ATM support capacity and achieve high-quality development of ATM in the industry.
