China and Solomon Islands Sign Air Services Agreement31/07/2023
On July 10th, Song Zhiyong, Administrator of CAAC, and Agvaka, Minister of the Ministry of Communication and Aviation of Solomon Islands signed the Air Services Agreement Between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of Solomon Islands (the Agreement), under the witness of Premier Li Qiang of the State Council and Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare of Solomon Islands. Currently, China has signed air services agreements with 130 countries and regions. 
The Agreement is the fundamental legal basis for establishing air connections between China and Solomon Islands. The signing of the Agreement provides the legal foundation for the development of civil aviation relations and for facilitating the launching of air routes and flights by airlines of both sides or business cooperation between the two countries, and will support the economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between China and Solomon Islands, as well as between China and Pacific island countries.
