During the 2023 summer holiday period (July 1-August 31), 130 million passengers were transported by civil aviation, an increase of 7.4% over the same period of 2019. August 6 saw the highest number of passengers for a single day, reaching 2.31 million.
During the summer holiday period, a total of 1.069 million flights were supported by various departments of civil aviation, with a daily average of 17,242 flights, an increase of 0.54% over the same period of 2019. Among them, 14,087 domestic passenger flights were accommodated on average per day, up by 14.83% compared with the same period in 2019. 1,095 international passenger flights were accommodated on average per day, recovering to 43.83% of the same period in 2019; and 284 Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan flights were accommodated on average per day, recovering to 56.06% of the same period in 2019.
