On December 26, Xizang SSMB, Xizang Air Traffic Center, and Xizang Airports Holdings Co., Ltd. were officially unveiled in Lhasa, marking the initial results of the deepening reform of the Xizang Autonomous Regional Administration of CAAC. Han Jun, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, and Wei Xiuchang, vice chairman of Xizang Autonomous Region, jointly unveiled the three entities and addressed the opening ceremony.
On the same day, the new second runway of Lhasa Airport was officially put into operation, marking that Lhasa Airport has officially entered the era of dual-runway operation. When addressing the inauguration ceremony, Han Jun pointed out that it is necessary to further enhance political awareness, act upon President Xi Jinping's important instructions on civil aviation and the Strategy of Communist Party of China on the governance of Xizang in the new era, resolutely implement the decision and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, build and operate Lhasa Airport well, continuously meet people's demand for air travel, and better serve the economic and social development of Xizang.
