CAAC recently published the Minimum Performance Requirements for Operation Identification of Civil Micro, Light and Small UAVs (Interim) (hereinafter referred to as the Requirements), filling the gap in the surveillance of micro, light and small unmanned aircraft in China. As a supporting document, the Requirements together with the Interim Regulations for Managing UAV Flight, which took effect on January 1, 2024, and the recently released Regulations on the Management of Civil UAV Operation Safety will further promote the upgrading of the civil aviation industry and create a modernized industrial system, laying the foundation for the healthy and orderly development of the UAV industry.
