In order to better accommodate the new needs of the general public for better air travel and to further improve the support for passenger service facilities in terminals, CAAC recently issued the Guidelines on Construction of Charging Facilities for Passengers’ Portable Electronic Equipment in Terminals (hereinafter referred to as the Guidelines). It marks the fifth document that has been released since the launch of the special campaign to upgrade airport service facilities.
The compilation of the Guidelines aims at accommodating passengers’ charging needs and enhancing their travel experience. On the basis of a large number of field researches and analyses, the Guidelines has proposed feasible recommendations for the deployment of charging facilities in terminals, key points for layout design and measures for optimization and improvement.
