ICAO Starts a Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) Audit in China30/04/2024
On April 16, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) kicked off a Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) audit in China. Song Zhiyong, CAAC Administrator, delivered a welcome speech at the meeting. Adel Ramlawi, head of the ICAO audit team, and 12 auditors, as well as Cui Xiaofeng, Hu Zhenjiang and Ma Bing, CAAC Deputy Administrators, attended the kick-off meeting, and Hu Zhenjiang presided over the meeting. 
On behalf of CAAC, Song Zhiyong extended a warm welcome to Mr. Adel and the auditors. Song said that CAAC attaches great importance to ICAO’s USOAP audit, and since the USOAP Comprehensive Systems Approach (CSA) audit completed by the ICAO in 2007, China has continued to do its best to implement ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and is fully prepared for this audit. 
Adel appreciated China for its preparation and support for the audit, and introduced the audit in details. 
CAAC Chief Engineer, CAAC Inspector General for Aviation Safety, heads of relevant departments and the members of the audit preparation team attended the meeting.
