On May 16, Han Jun, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, led a team to supervise and inspect flood prevention and bird strike prevention work at Beijing Daxing International Airport. Han emphasized the resolute implementation of President Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the prevention, rescue, and relief work regarding floods and geological disasters, as well as the safety work in civil aviation.
Following the deployment of CAAC Party Group, Han underscored that efforts should be made to enhance risk awareness and vigilance, strengthen safety precautions throughout the entire process of civil aviation infrastructure construction and operation. Han called for solid efforts in ensuring the operational safety of airports during the rainy season and in preventing bird strikes.
Han Jun and his team conducted on-site inspections of the N3 and N4 rainwater pumping stations and the bird strike prevention base at Daxing Airport. They examined the progress of drainage box culvert and overflow weir renovation projects, were briefed about relevant work, and gained detailed insights into the maintenance of flood prevention facilities, material reserves, emergency exercises, bird monitoring system, and ecological management for bird prevention at Daxing Airport.
