On August 12, CAAC Administrator Song Zhiyong met with Hong Kong and Macao delegates who attended the 2024 Asia-Pacific Summit for Aviation Safety (AP-SAS) in Beijing, including Victor Liu Chi-yung, Director-General of the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong, Pun Wa Kin, President of Macao Civil Aviation Authority, and Man Ka Chai, Chief Accident and Safety Investigator of Hong Kong Air Accident Investigation Authority.
On the same day, CAAC Deputy Administrator Hu Zhenjiang had a work exchange with the delegates from Hong Kong and Macao attending the summit. They had in-depth discussions on promoting the establishment of a closer cooperation mechanism between the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao in the field of aviation safety. Officials from relevant CAAC departments participated in the meeting and discussion.
