Recently, in order to implement and act upon the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to reduce the costs of logistics throughout the society, and to effectively improve the service capacity of the air cargo logistic chain, CAAC issued the Guide for the Development of Offsite Air Cargo Stations (hereinafter referred to as the Development Guide), to give a full play to the role of air cargo logistics’ support to the modern logistics system and service function for the industrial chain and supply chain, with the aim of reducing the costs of logistics and enhancing its quality and efficiency.
Gearing towards the demand of the industry, CAAC drafted the Development Guide on the basis of drawing upon the practical experience. The Guide lays down the following goals: to strengthen the interactive development between airports and logistics, extend and enhance air transport service supply, improve freight service efficiency and reduce logistics costs, and promote air cargo transport demand.
