CAAC Mobilizes and Deploys Air Transport Support for May Day Holiday13/05/2025
On April 28, CAAC held a video conference to analyze and assess the air transport during the May Day holiday and mobilize and deploy support work. CAAC Deputy Administrator Ma Bing attended the meeting and made remarks.
The meeting emphasized the need to strengthen analysis and assessment to have a good command of the characteristics of the civil aviation transport situation during the May Day holiday. It highlighted the greater pressure on civil aviation operations due to factors such as adverse weather conditions and heavy passenger traffic. The meeting mainly discussed about ensuring both development and safety, carefully identifying weak links and shortcomings, and making thorough arrangements to ensure safe, stable, and orderly aviation operations during the holiday, resolutely guaranteeing "absolute safety" of both flight operations and travelers.
At the meeting, the CAAC Meteorological Center provided a national weather forecast for the May Day holiday. China Southern Airlines, Shanghai Pudong Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, CAAC East Regional Administration, and Air Traffic Management Bureau reported on their preparations for civil aviation support during the public holidays. Responsible chiefs from relevant CAAC departments, as well as representatives from over 150 entities including the Air Traffic Management Bureau, regional administrations, regional air traffic management bureaus, airlines, and major airports with annual passenger throughput over 10 million, attended the meeting at the main venue and their respective entities.
