Capital Airports Holding Company Holds its 2026 Work Conference in Beijing21/01/2026
On January 16, Capital Airports Holding Company (hereinafter referred to as CAH) held its 2026 work conference in Beijing. The conference focused on communicating and studying the guiding principles of the National Civil Aviation Work Conference and the Aviation Safety Work Conference, systematically reviewed the CAH's performance in 2025 and throughout the 14th Five-Year Plan period, outlined strategic directions for the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan period, and identified key tasks for 2026. Song Zhiyong, Secretary of the CPC Leading Group and Administrator of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), attended the conference and delivered a speech.
Song Zhiyong emphasized that in 2025, CAH thoroughly implemented the deployment requirements set forth by the Party Leading Group of CAAC, successfully completed all major assigned tasks, demonstrated strong commitment in serving major national strategies, maintained safe and stable operations, steadily advanced reform and development, comprehensively strengthened Party building, and achieved positive progress across all areas of work. The year 2026 marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The company must align its practical work with the guiding principles of the National Civil Aviation Work Conference, adhere unwaveringly to the principle of safety first, and resolutely uphold the bottom line of aviation safety. Efforts should focus on building world-class aviation hubs to drive overall improvement in the quality and efficiency of the company's development, steadily advance comprehensive and deepened reforms to enhance core competitiveness, and strengthen Party leadership in all respects to further advance the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party. These initiatives will contribute new and greater efforts to promoting the high-quality developments of civil aviation.
In 2025, CAH recorded passenger throughput of 223 million, cargo and mail throughput of 2.434 million tons, and 1.494 million aircraft movements, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, 5.9%, and 1.8%, respectively. The combined annual passenger throughput at Beijing's two airports reached 124 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. Throughout the year, there were no incidents attributable to the company or events of equal or higher severity, and no flight delays caused by airport operational factors. The average departure punctuality rate at hub airports was 92.82%, an improvement of 2.77 percentage points year on year and 1.05 percentage points above the industry average. The average boarding bridge utilization rate stood at 85.49%, up by 0.81 percentage points compared to the previous year.
