CAAC Holds 2026 Flight Regularity and Service Quality Work Conference and Thunderstorm Season Support Deployment Meeting29/04/2026
On April 23, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) held the 2026 Flight Regularity and Service Quality Work Conference and Thunderstorm Season Support Deployment Meeting in Beijing. The meeting reflected on the experience in flight regularity and service quality during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and outlined key tasks for the current year.
The meeting reviewed work on flight regularity and service quality throughout the 14th Five-Year Plan period. During this time, the entire industry adhered to a people-centered development philosophy, continuously launched service quality improvement initiatives, and regularly implemented practical measures for the public. In response to pain points and difficulties in civil aviation services, efforts were made to continuously enhance flight regularity and service quality management capabilities, delivering a commendable performance through concrete actions.
The meeting set operational support requirements for the 2026 thunderstorm season, presented forecasts on thunderstorm season weather, and outlined support measures for the air traffic control system. Ten organizations shared their experiences. The meeting was held both onsite and online, with participation of representatives from relevant departments of the CAAC, its regional administrations and supervision bureaus, the Air Traffic Management Bureau and its regional bureaus, select institutions directly under the CAAC, the China Air Transport Association, the China Civil Airports Association , and airline companies, airport operators, and aviation sales platform providers.
