Hu Zhenjiang Leads Delegation to Hong Kong and Macao for Civil Aviation Safety Technical Exchanges02/05/2026
From April 27 to May 1, CAAC Deputy Administrator Hu Zhenjiang led an invited delegation to Macao and Hong Kong for civil aviation safety technical exchanges, aiming to further deepen and expand cooperation between the mainland and the two special administrative regions in areas such as aviation safety management, flight standards, airworthiness certification, and accident investigation.
During the exchanges, the CAAC signed with the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao and the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong the Cooperation Arrangements on Mutual Acceptance of Type Certificates, the Cooperation Arrangements on Type Certification of the C929 Aircraft, the Cooperation Arrangements on Airworthiness Management of Aviation Fuels and Chemicals, and the Amendment to the Cooperation Arrangements on Joint Maintenance Management. Building on existing cooperation, these arrangements further expand the scope of mutual recognition, covering aircraft type certification and certification of aviation fuel and chemical products, and extending to overseas aircraft maintenance and training facilities approved by the three authorities. Moreover, the relevant arrangements support the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao and the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong in continuing their previous cooperation on the type certification of the C919 aircraft, and in participating in the certification work for the C929 aircraft, jointly advancing the development of domestically produced large aircraft.
During their time in Hong Kong and Macao, Hu Zhenjiang and his delegation held working meetings with the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao, the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Air Accident Investigation Authority, and conducted on-site inspections of Hong Kong International Airport and Macao International Airport. They witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Guangzhou Civil Aviation College and the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council on the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Civil Aviation Characteristic Vocational Education Park. Accompanied by the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong, they visited the Hong Kong SAR National Security Exhibition Hall and attended a commemorative event marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong.
