Climate and Weather

Beijing enjoys a typical continental, yet affable monsoon climate. It has distinctive four seasons, the brief blooming spring, the long hot summer, the golden fruitful autumn and the brisk harsh winter.
January and February in Beijing are usually cold and dry at an average temperature of -4 °C (25 °F). So it is recommended to prepare down jackets, thick jeans, sweaters, hats and gloves. You might also need a mask to protect your nose on windy days.
