The Bureau of Aviation Security of CAAC Issues a Notice to Clarify Questions Concerning the Use of Passports for Domestic Flights26/05/2017

The new version of Rules on Civil Aviation Security Screening became effective as of January 1, 2017. To better ensure the security of air passengers, adopt standardized practices in relation to aviation security screening and make positive response to the public concerns, the Bureau of Aviation Security of CAAC issued a special notice on May 23 to further clarify questions concerning the use of passports by passengers to take domestic flights.

It’s indicated in the Notice that passports issued by the People’s Republic of China can be used as valid identity documents to buy air tickets, check in and undergo security screening for domestic flights. Passengers who take domestic flights should use the same valid identity documents when they purchase tickets, check in and undergo security screening.
