CAAC Actively Responds to Temporary Airspace Closure of Pakistan07/03/2019

On February 27, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority issued a NOTAM announcing the temporary closure of Pakistan airspace from 15:30 on February 27 to 07:59 on March 1, causing many flights to change schedules.

CAAC attached great importance to the NOTAM upon receiving it, and immediately launched an emergency response plan to notify domestic airlines to pay attention to the affected flights and actively supported returned flights. CAAC also coordinated with the Air Force to promptly approve and arrange ad-hoc flight plans to ensure flight safety.

At the same time, upon request of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), CAAC opened parts of China's airspace and routes for the detouring foreign airlines to support normal operation of the affected flights of foreign airlines.
