On June 11, CAAC convened the monthly Plenary (Expanded) Meeting of its Safety Committee in Beijing to analyze operation safety of recent days and the summer travel season and to make arrangements for aviation safety. CAAC Administrator Song Zhiyong attended the meeting and delivered a speech, joined by Deputy Administrators Han Jun, Ma Bing, and Liang Nan, as well as Li Xiaojun from Discipline Inspection Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed at the Ministry of Transport.
Song Zhiyong analyzed the operational characteristics and safety challenges of the current period and the upcoming summer travel season, and stressed that all entities should align with the CAAC's work arrangements in light of their respective actual conditions, enhance targeted safety measures, strengthen risk management and control, and ensure stable and controllable operations.
Since May, CAAC has actively implemented the directives of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council by issuing the 2025 Overall Support Plan for Civil Aviation Operation during Thunderstorm Season. Furthermore, CAAC has convened the 2025 Flight Regularity and Service Quality Work Conference alongside the Deployment Meeting of Operation Support in the Thunderstorm Season, and held a video conference on holiday operations for the May Day and Dragon Boat Festival periods. The industry has maintained positive development momentum, with safety performance remaining consistently stable.
